The last 6 months have held so many challenges and so much excitement, that it just made sense to put the blog on the back burner for a while. Here are some brief updates of the adventures we’ve had since our last post:
- Morgan’s name change and gender change finally went through! He now has a new birth certificate, driver’s license, and passport, and plans to post about this process soon.
- We have talked a lot about having kids. What this could look like for us, how we want to create our family, what obstacles are in our path to create a family, and more. There will be many upcoming posts about these conversations!
- And, I’ve been working very hard with a new, up and coming organization, Praxis Clinical, to create clinical skills and health education curriculum that empower patients, providers, and communities.
With that, I wanted to share that Praxis Clinical is sponsoring its first conference! Come say hello this weekend at the Civil Liberties and Public Policy conference “From Abortion Rights to Social Justice: Building the Movement for Reproductive Freedom” in Hampshire, MA!
I’ll also be presenting a workshop with the Managing Director, Alexandra Duncan, called “Genitals Roadshow: BYOJ (Bring Your Own Junk!)” We’ll be teaching folks how to perform self breast/chest, pelvic, and genital exams! We’re also launching a fabulous new line of health education comics, and I’m proud to say we’ve found illustrators who made them trans-inclusive!
If you’re not already planning to come to CLPP, we’d love to see you there! Just register here.
